PureText (ver 6.2) Freeware PureText is a useful tool to convert clipboard text into plain text and remove all formating. Usually, if you copy/paste text or paragraphs into a word processor or other rich text aware application, it will maintain all formatting including hyperlinks etc. PureText runs in the system tray and can convert the text in the clipboard with a single click. Optionally it can also paste the converted text directly into the document. The pasted text will have all formatting removed. PureText is basically equivalent to opening Notepad, doing a PASTE, followed by a SELECT-ALL, and then a COPY. The benefit of PureText is performing all these actions with a single Hot-Key and having the result pasted into the current window automatically. By default PureText uses the hotkey "Win + V" to paste the stripped text, but this key can be changed in the Options menu. PureText does NOT require an installer. Simply run PureText.exe to start. To remove, just exit PureText and delete PureText.exe. PureText can be configured in the Options menu to start automatically when Windows starts. NOTE: There is NO need for installation. Just place file a desired directory, and launch (it is a good idea to also place a shortcut in the STARTUP folder).
