McAfee Wireless Security (ver 4.1) Abandoned Freeware WSC Guard was a subscription program for securing wireless adapters. McAfee offered a subscription- free generic utility that will allow Windows 2000 computers to attach to a secure wireless connection. Being an older utility that was hobbled to only see the less secure wireless connection schemes, you are limited in the types of wireless routers that you are able to connect with. This none the less provides an ability that you would normally not have with Windows 2000. Whenever possible therefore, you should use the utility that comes with your specific network card (such as, for example, the Broadcom Wireless Utility). Caution: When installing, be sure to check mark the box labled "Disable Authentication". Otherwise, you will be setup for a trial version of WSC Guard. file = MWS.zip ========== Broadcom Wireless Utility (ver 6.20 rev E) Freeware As a bonus, I am including the Broadcom Wireless Lan Wireless Utility. Although intended to complement the Broadcom Wireless Lan chip, it should be able to work independently. With this utility you will be able to connect to WPA2 secured wireless networks. file = sp37953.zip
