Windows allows you to customize the look-and-feel
by changing Icons, Sounds, Cursors, etceteras.
However, it it easy to accidentely erase one of
these items, so you should make backups.

Graciously, someone made a backup of all the
Windows 2000 Professional media files that shipped
on the installation disk, and sorted them by
subject. Now if you accidentely delete a file,
you can recover it from this collection.

Win2k Media Issues:

The Standard desktop can only see and load BMP wallpaper.
Although the "Active" desktop shows JPG files in its
menu, it actually ineffeciently converts them to BMP
internally before loading them as wallpaper.

Screensavers will only run if they are placed into the
"WINNT\system32" directory.

Although you can build "Theme" scripts for Win2k, it is
NOT recommended. Instead, modify elements individually.
