Wrapper Pack (ver 1.10) Abandoned Freeware Microsoft does NOT want you to use older versions of their operating system, even if it still works fine for your needs. They especially don't like you using a version that does not require "activation" from their company website. In order to force you to upgrade, with each Windows release Microsoft changes the name or location of certain files, and/or redirects an API. This causes newer software written to expect the new changes to fail to install or function on an older version of Windows, forcing you to stay with outdated versions. In most cases however, if you were somehow able to point the application to the older APIs, the newer application would work perfectly fine on the older operating system. The Win2k to XP Wrapper Pack is a collection of API wrappers which appear to your Windows XP applications as if the actual XP APIs are installed, but which in actuality redirects calls to your Win2k APIs. With these patches, you will now be able to install and run Windows XP specific applications, such as Adobe Flash, under the Windows 2000 OS. Please note that these DLL wrappers must be manually installed, and that while they are fairly benign, Microsoft in no way supports their use. Be sure to read all documentation before installing, and avoid installing them if they are not specifically required.
