Free Converter includes and uses a partial version of  "Ghostscript".  
Pdf995 Printer Driver expects the Ghostscript in Free Converter to be the
one it will use.  [You -can- have a standalone version of Ghostscript on 
your computer simultainiously without proplems].  

NOTE: at the end of the install, the software will ask if you want to 
download the Printer Driver.  Say NO (you will use the printer driver
listed below)...

Pdf995 Printer Driver

SECOND = pdf995s.zip

Pdf995 Printer Driver is a virtual printer driver that saves a 
print-job as a Portable Document Format (.PDF) file.  pdfEdit995 
will ONLY work with this converter [If you already have CutePDF Writer 
installed, you can uninstall CutePDF Writer; because both it and
Pdf995 Printer Driver perform the same task].  Note though that 
when you use the driver, it displays an sponsor web page.

Be aware that programs such as WordPad cannot display a print-preview 
unless a printer driver has been installed in Windows.  If you 
install a real printer driver but do not have a real printer 
attached, MicroSoft Windows could crash. 

With the Pdf995 Printer Driver virtual printer driver installed, 
application print-preview functions become active.  As a bonus, any 
print-job sent to the virtual printer will save as an Adobe PDF file!

Warning: Newer versions of this print driver will FAIL to install on Win2k!

THIRD = pdfedit.zip

pdfEdit995 allows you to edit, combine, and split Portable Document 
Format (.PDF) files.  It also contains a built-in viewer.  Note though
that when you start the program, it displays an sponsor web page.

FOURTH = signature995.zip

The signature program allows you to encrypt, decrypt, sign, co-sign, 
and verify PDF documents.  When first started, the program must 
create an unauthenticated digital certificate to function.  

Note: Signature995 is also required to Combine / Split PDF files with 
pdfEdit995.  Install Signature AFTER you have installed pdfEdit995.

This module allows you to restrict users from printing, copying text and 
images, and modifying PDF files.  

NOTE: Install AFTER installing Signature995.
