Mikatype is an adaptation of a Japanese 
typing tutor (standard american keyboard)
popular with beginning touch-typing students.  
It only teaches the letters and numbers, but 
it has interesting practices based on the 
kinds of words computer users might encounter.    

Mikatype does NOT require installation.  Just 
unzip into a directory of your choice.  

Mikatype keeps a log of your practice 
times and charater per minute speed 
(divide by 5 for Words per minute), 
saving the records in the same directory 
in the files "mikatype.log", "mikatype.rec", 
and "mikatype.spd".
