Ghostscript is an interpreter for the PostScript (TM) language. 
PostScript, when saved as a file, uses the file extension ".PS".  A 
PostScript interpreter usually takes as input a set of graphics 
commands. The output is usually a page bitmap which is then sent to an 
output device such as a printer or display. PostScript is embedded in 
many printers. 

Ghostscript can: 
Display a PostScript (*.ps) file. 
Print a PostScript file to a non-PostScript printer. 

Ghostscript is a command-line program.  Full documentation of commands 
can be found in the "DOC" direcory.  If you are more comfortable 
using a GUI, then try the "GSview" front-end program for Ghostscript.  
For your convenience, GSview is available here in the folder "GSView".  


You do -NOT- need to install Ghostscript to use Pdf995 Printer Driver.

Also included is a zip file "testprinter.zip", which contains a PostScript test
file and a GIF picture of what the test file should render like.

GSview is a graphical interface for "Ghostscript".  Ghostscript is an 
interpreter for the PostScript page description language used by laser 
printers.  For documents following the Adobe PostScript Document 
Structuring Conventions (*.ps), GSview allows selected pages to be 
viewed or printed. 

This version of GSview was written by Russell Lang at Ghostgum Software
Pty Ltd., and requires Ghostscript 7.04-9.19 or higher (ver 8.51 or 
higher preferred).  You should install Ghostscript software FIRST.

View pages in arbitrary order (Next, Previous, Goto). 
Page size and Orientation are automatically selected from DSC comments or can 
	be selected using the menu.
