The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used to move files from one computer to another. FTP is noted for having limited capabilities, low reliability, poor design, and security vulnerability, yet surprisingly is still heavily used on the Internet. A FTP server is accessed using a FTP client, or with a Browser that understand the URI "ftp://". Currently most FTP servers are configured to prevent anonymous uploads, with a large percentage also configured to prevent anonymous downloading. Below are addresses for anonymous login FTP servers open to the public for downloading.
